Tuesday, September 23, 2014 Mr. Aji explained how to write a curriculum vitae. Before the lesson begins Mr. Aji reminder about tasks interviews with foreigners, we were told to ask the tourists and compare ICT in indonesia with ICT in their country as well as the identity of the tourists.
Then go to the first lesson, the material is “Preparing and Writing a Resume”. It is also called a resume (American style), curriculum vitae (British English), personal profile, qualifications and personal data sheet.
When this Curriculum vitae is used? This curriculum vitae is used when a person applying for a job or go to school. It could be that we have been asked to work collecting the most recent curriculum vitae.
The next topic of the lesson Mr. Aji explained CV type British. In British is called Curicullum Vitae may contain personal information, objective/profile, education and qualifications, work experience, skills, interests and referens.
When writing a curriculum vitae name labels can be omitted, no need to mention age, gender, nationality, race, religion, or marital status.In addition please do not send photos unless you are asked to send a photo.
On the objective/profile give the employer an idea of what you are looking for and who you are. For work experience shown in reverse order, starting with the most recent.
Skills, practical skills is the ability for the applicant.This section also includes formal qualifications related to this skill. This includes things such as sports, creative activities and community activities, but it is not vague subjects such as ' read ' or ' trip '.
And the last is a reference, this is the name and address of the person who knows you. They are able to provide information to a potential employer about your character and ability.
Next Mr. Aji explained American type curriculum vitae, in American is called Resume. Its structure different for Americans that there is no reference but more similar to the British. Besides that differentiates is summarizing the goals and customize your resume to a specific position. Objectives should be stated in a realistic short-term objectives and or job you are currently eligible.
The lesson has been completed, Mr. Aji gave the assignment to compare CV British, American and Indonesia which is done in a group. As for the individual tasks Mr. Aji told make a CV as a dream job

In a comparison of curriculum vitae above for personal information, educationand qualifications, work experience and skills between the Indonesian, British and American have the same structure. For objective/profile and interest are only used on the American and British, because in indonesia does not need objective/profile and interest. Then for references are not used in the American and Indonesian, is used by the British only. For education Curricullume Vitae (American and British), education most recently written on the top of the order and then in sequence until the longest education and elementary schools are not included in the list of education. While Indonesia CV, education is first written on the order of the first and the last one the most recent education.
