WEEKLY REPORT
At that day, Tuesday September 23 Mr. Aji teach us at 7 am as an usual. It was very amazing when he told that we will had a task to do something with tourist. There were many task that we had to do. First, we had to introduce our self to the tourist. Second, we had to ask them about what their occupation in Indonesia. Third, talking something about ICT and compare the ICT between Indonesia and these hometown. And the last, we must ask them about our english skill. I think, all of this tasks was made for us to increasing our english skill in speaking.
Not just gave a task for student, Mr. Aji also teach us about the differences between resume and curriculum vitae. Actually both of them will display the identity and personal information of someone, but they had some differences. From that lesson I knew that resume was American style and CV was British one. Beside that, they had a structural difference, that was:
CV has a form like this,
1. Personal information
2. Profile / objectives
3. Education and qualification
4. Work experience
5. Skills
6. Interest
7. References
And Resume has a form from number 1 up to 6, it has no references.
The last time of this meeting Mr. Aji gave a task that we had to done in the next meeting, there were compare CV with Indonesian version and making resume about our dream in the future. And the last was retell the movie, Malam Satu Suro. See you next time...
THE DIFFERENCER BETWEEN CV AND IN INDONESIAN VERSION
FIRDAUSA'S CV
1. In Indonesian resume, personal information is written very complete, but on resume only the essential information.
2. For the use of the label, both average is still labeled form.
3. Indonesian resume has not objective / profile doesn’t like in the CV that are included.
4. The education / qualification on the resume, written in reverse order, from highest education level to the lowest education level. But in Indonesian resume it was written from the lowest education level to higher education level.
5. For the skills and interest, between the Indonesian resume with british or american resume/CV has that part.
6. There was references that used to clarify ourselves through someone in resume, but the Indonesian resume was not include with the references.
