Today
is the fifth meeting of English for Engineering II, as accordance with the
agreement last week that today this class is going to retell the “Malam Satu
Suro” movie. If last week when the class retell the Lion King movie Mr. Aji
call the group with category, but for this time is different. Mr. Aji grouping
the class became 2, there were group A and group B and he give each groups the
number 1 until 9. Each group is free to choice what number will be chosen, when
Mr. Aji speak up the number, the group who likes that number must raise their
hand. But if the numbers had chosen by first group the other group on same group (A or B) can't chosen that number again. All of group now has the number as their identity, and Mr. Aji would call
the number randomly.
When Mr. Aji had called the number, the group who had that number as their identity must going in front of the class to tell the story. The member of each group was 2, so there was member to retell the story in Indonesian and the other one is translated in English until 2 sentence, but if one of the members of the group wasn’t present they must retell the story alone.
All
of group going in front of the class to retell the story by turns, Mr. Aji
listen the presenter carefully and give the comment or corrected the tense or
vocabulary of the presenter if there was a mistake. And all of the student
listen the presenter and Mr. Aji carefully, sometimes they were help the
presenter to speak up.
Actually, the rule is same as we were doing in
the previously meeting. If the group make a mistake like doing deleted scene or
something else so that group must punished. But in this review, there were no
group making mistake so there were no group punished.
Finally
the story was ended by Liya and Adhe’s group with the 2 Rounde of this review.
Mr. Aji commanded to gave applause to class. And he told that our class was the
best performance of review the movie than the other class.
Before
Mr. Aji closed the class, he told us don’t forget to interview the foreigner.
Asking their identity, their occupation, comparison the ICT in Indonesia with
their hometown and asking about our Indonesia – English translation, does their
understand or not. After it we have to presented it in front of the class for
the next meeting.
