This is the seventh week Mr Aji taught English
Engineering in PTI Offering D. Just like previous week, the schedule of this
meeting is presenting the tourist interview. But in this meeting, the students
presenting about tourist’s identity until ICT comparison in Indonesia and
tourist’s country. The students could show the video/audio record of their
intervew with the tourist or performing the interview in front of the class.
Before the presentation began, Mr Aji explained
about the next task, which is ICT observation/survey. Mr Aji told that the students
should make a plan or design before they doing the observation. There are some
points that should be included in creating observation design or plan. They are
title, objective, method, respondent, total of respondent, location, and
period. Mr Aji also gave the example of observation’s title. That is
“Students’s Habbit on Operating Gadget during Class”.
After a long time enough Mr Aji explained about the
task, finally he began the presentation activities about tourist interview. The
group of Fawzul and Singgih got a first turn to present their interview. They
showed the video of their interview with the tourist. Because the sound was not
too clear, some of students couldn’t get the information from the video. And
then, Mr Aji asked Fawzul and Singgih to explained the point of information
which told by the tourist. After that, Mr Aji gave chances for other students
to asking or having a notion on Singgih and Fawzul’s presentation
The next group who got the second turn is Amadeuz
and Rosita. They played audio record of their conversation with the tourist.
But, when Rosita and Amadeuz doing a presentation, the other students didn’t
pay attention on what Rosita and Amadeuz were explained. The class condition
was so noisy. The other students also didn’t give questions or opinions on
Rosita and Amadeuz’s presentation. Seeing this, Mr Aji was angry and
dissapointed. So he gave punishment to the students. He asked the students to
make a resume about the presentation of Rosita and Amadeuz. And then, Mr Aji
asked Rosita and Amadeuz to choose five groups that would present the resume.
Each group should present different information. One of the choosen groups is
Iqbal and Ilham’s group. They looked so nervous when they tried to present the
resume, because actually they didn’t really pay attention on Rosita and
Amadeuz’s presentation. But after Rosita and Amadeuz helped them with a clue,
Iqbal and Ilham finally could explain the information correctly about the
tourist identity and ICT in tourist’s country. Amadeuz and Sita also gave a
clue with a hangman games.
After the presentation was done, Mr Aji told the
students to give a full attention to everybody who did a presentation in fornt
of the class. So in the next meeting, the class must gave a full attention or
if they didn’t, the class would be a nightmare to all of students. Mr. Aji said
it seriously and clearly. For next week, Mr Aji couldn’t attend a class because
he had to go to Singapore for work. So in the next week, the English
Engineering lesson would be free.
