In this 13th meeting of English Engineering
class, the activity is presenting research about IT. Each group only have 15
minutes to present result of their research. As usual, Mr Aji choose the
presenter and moderator randomly.
The first presenter is Yogi and Dian. They
presented about the use of internet on learning. Their presentation was
moderated by Rosita and Wina. The second presenter is Ardi and Dika, they
presented about the use of social media (such as BBM, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc) in
environment of UM’s student. Their presentation was moderated by Roby and Ali. The
third presenter is Siti and Tia that moderated by Rian and Wulan. They presented
about the effectiveness of borrowing system in UM’s library. The fourth
presentation is about the effects of using gadget in environment of UM’s
students, which presented by Asmaul and Huda. Their presentation was moderated
by Dwi Ummi and Rosyid.
The last performance is presentation
from Ilham and Iqbal which moderated by Arul and Hani. They presented about the
use of smartphone to support students learning activity. On presentation, Ilham
explained about introduction of the research, problems & purposes,
benefits, and material & methods which used in research. After that, the
presentation was continued by Iqbal by telling about result and conclution
about the research. On their presentation, there are two questioner. They are
Dwi Umi and Yogi. Dwi Umi asked why Android become the most used smartphone’s
OS as the student’s learning media. And then Ilham answer, Android is the most
used OS because nowadays Android is very popular, the price of smartphone is
also reached by many students, and many application of education support in
Android OS. Yogi’s question is why the subject of research is PTI students. And
Iqbal’s answer is because PTI students maybe have more knowledge and more care about
IT (notably smartphone), so they will answer the questionaire seriously.
The time’s over when Ilham and Iqbal end
their presentation. But Mr. Aji said that all groups with no exception must
present their research. So Mr. Aji asked will hold an addition lesson to finish
all presentations.
